Home Health Care Nurses Receive Certification

Specializing in hospice and palliative care

Martinsburg, West Virginia:   Panhandle Home Health, Inc. is pleased to announce that two of their staff members, Angela Titus and Colleen Coleman, have passed their Hospice and Palliative Care Nursing examinations.  Both are now certified specialists in symptom management and overall care of patients who are dealing with end of life issues.  To qualify for this certification, Registered Nurses must have spent at least two years in the field, actively caring for end of life patients.

Angela Titus, RN, CHPN is the Assistant Clinical Manager for Panhandle Home Health.  After working as a field nurse for three years, Titus moved into the office to work with their Point-of-Care computer documentation system and act as a resource for their field nurses.  “My favorite part of the job is education of the nurses and staff through in-services,” she stated.  Titus previously worked at Winchester Medical Center and is OASIS and coding certified.

Colleen Coleman, RN, CHPN, one of Panhandle Home Health’s field nurses, has been a nurse for 21 years, with a focus on hospice for six years.  “I enjoy the people,” stated Coleman.  “I also really like teaching the patients and their families basic care techniques.”  Coleman is also OASIS certified.
