Panhandle Home Health Breaks Ground on New FacilityNew professional space to increase services
Martinsburg, West Virginia – With a commitment to the community, Panhandle Home Health, Inc. has provided premium home health services to the residents of Jefferson, Berkeley and Morgan Counties for the past 30 years. Growing from two employees in 1976 to 47 employees (plus 14 contractors) in 2007, this growth has required Panhandle Home Health to expand their operations to a new facility, which broke ground on July 25, 2007. “The new location is an investment in the future of our organization,” stated Lisa Bivens, Administrator for Panhandle Home Health. “We will have approximately 7,500 square feet of professional office and training space. In addition, the new location places us closer to WVU East/City Hospital and other medical practices.” Robert Eckels was selected as architect and Minghinis will be acting as general contractor for construction. The new facility is scheduled to open in Spring 2008. “This new building provides many opportunities to Panhandle Home Health and to those who have benefited from our services,” stated Jim Rodgers, President of the Panhandle Home Health Board of Directors. “We are offering different naming options for donors, from plaque recognition to a room named after the donor or their loved one.” As a nonprofit organization, Panhandle Home Health relies heavily on the generosity of others.
